WELCOME!
Current Photograph, Yup!
My own little personal corner here on the internet.
I'm Pamela Toole, of Alpaca Hook & Crochet. Some of you may know me from my Baby Shop "Little Duckling Designs" that's where I make and sell handmade baby blankets, hats, and accessories for little ones.
MY SPOT
I created this blog as a little spot for me, personally, to do what I enjoy and share my way... be just who I am when not dealing with business. Kinda like the mom who needs her own space. I can relate to that in more ways than you know.
I am a highly creative gal from Ohio. I've always had a strong desire to CREATE since I was little. My creative side has been incorporated into my life right down to my home and now my apartment. Nearly every accessory is handmade.
I am an extrovert for sure, enjoy meeting and interacting with people. I suppose being a photographer helped as when I was younger as I was shy. Then I began to photograph people until I fell in love... that's right...I fell in love with nature, the pure beauty, and connection I found on this planet is so surreal. I have a huge love for this planet and all that exist among it..so now I photograph nature. You can see my work at the link below. https://www.facebook.com/UTMphotography/
Being highly creative is a journey all by itself...never knowing what's next on your creative schedule with one exception working yarn. That has always been a constant in my life.
My oldest son, Adam, (all grown up now) the blanket was one my mother made... she taught me about yarn and crocheting. My Aunt Ruth, her sister, taught me to knit.
Everytime I'd go somewhere I always said, wait, I have to pack a hook so I can crochet. Hence the name of the blog "Alpaca Hook & Crochet. I hope to inspire others to do the same pick up a hook or needles and learn to work yarn. And, if you already do awesome you know how it feels to create with yarn, it's addicting!
I have been crocheting for decades (as soon as I locate the photograph I crocheted my first vest for a school photograph will post it) and now want to share personal things I make outside the business. I hope on my blog you find inspiration, relaxation, and an all around friendly place to chat or ask questions or for that teach me something new.
I will be offering patterns, tutorials, photographs of my finished personal projects. Although I am not new to working yarn I am somewhat new to technology although I love learning it all. It will take me a little time to manage it all.
I'd love to have you follow along like I said, maybe you will be teaching me too!
