Not a fancy gal I don't use ruffled edges or detailed ones very often. I do add a two edge ruffle as I call them for a tad bit of that fancy occasionally. My scrubbies I add a long chain that allows them to hang on my faucet spout pushing it back a bit. This allows them to dry my way hanging naturally. I like my scrubbies done in a natural twine as we age it's important to exfoliate daily.

DOUBLE EDGE RUFFLED WASHCLOTH
MATERIALS
Bernat Softee Baby Cotton weight 3 (1 ball) - this is a blend I j sc in stitch
ust prefer it. All cotton is fine.
Hook U.S F / 3.75mm ( I tend to work yarn loosely as I go so I start with a G for first two rows)
Tapestry Needle
PATTERN STITCH - SCPS -single crochet post stitch ( prefer this has it gives a thicker more stable washcloth. Stitch is also great for coasters and pads for hot items)
*Once you get the hang of the stitch it becomes easier falls into place naturally*

PATTERN
chain 31 (10 sts. plus 1)
Row 1- sc in the second chain from hook and across to end, chain 1, turn
Row 2 - Sc across, chain 1 turn (set up row for single crochet post stitch)
Row 3 - SCPS begins - insert hook around post of single crochet stitch and single crochet the stitch, do this all the way across to last stitch...sc in last stitch, chain 1,turn. *Every beginning row will begin with SCPS stitch, end with sc stitch*
Row 4 to 23 - continue with Pattern Stitch
Rows 24 thru 25 - single crochet across, chain1, turn, repeat for row 25. Do not fasten off!
BORDER
Row 1 - Without fasten off after chain 1 on row 25, do not turn, chain 1. Single crochet around spacing stitches evenly working 3 sc in corners. I did one single crochet per end of row on washcloth. *end by joining last stitch to first with a slip stitch. Chain 1..do not turn!
Row 2 - Ending on corner row...begin with half double in same stitch as chain stitch from previous ending row. 2 double crochet in same stitch, chain 1, skip 1 single crochet, sc in the next stitch, 3 double crochet in next stitch, skip next sc across to end next corner. half double crochet (hdc) in first stitch of 3 single crochet group, dc 2 in the same stitch...do not turn!
Row 3 - Single crochet across to last stitch corner of 3 single crochet, sc in the first, half double crochet in the next sc, 2 double crochet in same stitch.
Row 4- repeat row 2. Chain 8 slip stitch to same stitch as chain beginning, fasten off. Weave in ends.
Row 5- repeat row 3, fasten off, weave in ends.

EXFOLIATING SCRUBBIE
It's a bit tough to get started stay with it gets easier..you will love them. They are washable I simply use rubbing alcohol let it soak for 1/2 hour then rinse or vodka I use it to clean my entire bathroom.
MATERIALS
Fine Hemp Twine (1 ball)
Hook D / 3.25mm
Tapestry Needle
PATTERN STITCHES - single crochet, double crochet
Beginning with a Magic Circle 12 single crochets in center, pull tight to close hole with a slip stitch to first single crochet.
Row 2 - Double crochet in each sc around, slip stitch to beginning round stitch (24 dc)
Row 3 - *1 sc, followed by 2 sc in next stitch* repeat from * around. Slip stitch to first sc.
Row 4 - *2 double crochet in first two single crochet, 2 double crochet in next* repeat from * around to last stitch, slip stitch to first stitch. Do Not Fasten Off!
Chain 32 stitches careful not to twist when slip stitching to the stitch before starting chain number 1 fasten off, weave in end.
